Questions
Orthodontics FAQ
Am I too old for orthodontics?
No. Teeth move at any age as long as the gums and bone are healthy. About a third of our orthodontic patients are adults.
When should my child first see an orthodontist?
Around age seven. Most children don’t need treatment that early, but a quick check can spot problems that are easier to fix while the jaw is growing.
Do I need to wear a retainer forever?
Teeth naturally drift with age, so we recommend wearing your retainers at night for the long term. Most people find it becomes as routine as brushing.
Does insurance cover orthodontics?
Many plans have a lifetime orthodontic benefit, especially for under-19s. We’ll check yours and apply it to your fee.
